Market Summary:
The major indices are all trading higher at midday as stocks added to yesterday's intraday gains this morning. While financial markets settled down overnight following yesterday's wild ride, the European session saw another spike in volatility and U.S. stock futures turned lower yet again before a healthy opening rally on Wall Street. The impact of the FOMC meeting minutes continues to be apparent across asset classes, but the fact that Treasury yields have edged lower compared to yesterday's highs is a reassuring sign for bulls.
Suggested Option Trade:
Sell Puts on Coupang, Inc. Write(Sell) $35 Puts on CPNG expiring August 20' 21 at $2.70 Credit
Trade: Sell ("sell to open") the August 2021 $35 put.
Allocation: Size the position according to your portfolio size and how much you're comfortable investing.
Price Guidance: Aim to receive a net credit of $2.70 or so.
Current Stock Price: $37.90
If CPNG trades over $35 at expiration, we will keep the entire credit at a 100% profit. If it trades below $35 at expiration, we happily own the shares at a net price of $32.30 ($35 - $2.70).
